In April of this year I started this diet journey. I was tipping the scales at 254 pounds and to me...255 was not an option. I recently joined a gym and am having a hard time finding the motivation to go because I seem to be stuck between 222 and 227 pounds. I cannot get below 222, I don't know why. Someone recommended journaling my food intake soooo here I am. We shall see if the 2 combined help me or not.

Welcome to MFP! I'm sure this will be the tool you need, all you have to do is stick to it and it WILL happen!
The most important advice I can give is:
Track your water, get at least 8 a day, add a sodium tracker to your diary and stay below 2500, and please eat ALL of your calories every day.
Why?
The number MFP gives you is your goal to REACH, not your goal to stay UNDER, the "lose weight" calories are already subtracted when you chose either 1 lb a week or 2 lbs a week when you set it up. The calories it leaves you with already has those "lose weight" cals subtracted, and the number in your diary is what you should actually eat to attain that goal. Staying under that number can actually SLOW weight loss because your body needs fuel to survive and you would be robbing it of what it needs.
