I've been reading saturated fat is actually good for you and to eat more of it. I am kinda scared to eat more fat. I do follow a low carb diet where I don't eat any white foods because I had gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy (baby is 2 months old). Thanks for your help

Some days I'm between 25 and 35 grams of fat. Other days I'm over 60. I'm on a 1200 calorie plan and I'm given 40 a day. I believe good fats are definitely good for you in moderation, and I also think that fiber is a nutrient.

I make a choice to eat healthy fats. Fat keeps you sated. Fat has important health benefits and nutrients the body needs. The healthy fats I eat are raw nuts, avocado, natural peanut butter, coconut oil, and things like this. I measure all of these. I use table spoon for the oil and peanut butter, and I weigh out the nuts in a single ounce. I nibble the nuts instead of gobbling handfuls like I used to.

I switched to whole foods vegan and gave up refined sugar. I eat lots of fruit instead of sugary food. I'm losing weight fast. But I am about 230 pounds and five feet 7 inches tall.

My calorie goal is 1750. On a 40/40/20 diet, I get 39 grams of fat per day. After I workout, my goal is normally bumped up to 60-80 grams. I normally eat around 60, which still puts me close to a 40/40/20 split.

I'm T2D, and eat a ketogenic diet that is something like 80% fat.
Generally when one cuts carbs, one has to increase calories, so fat is the logical choice.
It helps keep my BG's low.

between 30-35% of my calories come from fat, around 60-70g.

if you're doing low carb then your fats and protein should be higher.
