MapMyRun Duplicate Workouts?

I have synced MFP and MMR....For the first couple months, it was doing great. Now, it's still doing great, but after every single workout, another one that's the exact same shows up in MMR. I have reached out to MMR for support, but have not heard anything back. It's really messing up my stats, and it's pretty annoying. Anyone else having this problem and maybe have a solution?? Thanks!

I have a similar problem.
I enter my workouts in MapMyFitness website and some of them sync over to MFP automatically.
My running and cycling workouts sync just fine this way and they do not duplicate.
However, when I enter a Weight Workout in MapMyFitness, it does not sync to MFP. So I enter it also in MFP and then that one syncs back to MapMyFitness.
I have discovered that I can delete yesterday's duplicates from MMF and they will stay gone. Deleting a duplicate from "today" just comes back again.0 -
MapMyWalk also tends to duplicate the entries, and I'm still not sure why. I've simply been manually removing the duplicate workouts, but it is a pain. I currently use a $25 pedometer from WalMart that I sync with my phone through MapMyWalk, and it almost always automatically syncs with MyFitnessPal.
It hasn't bothered me enough to try to figure out why - I just manually clean it up & know that I really didn't 'earn' twice the calories when it is duplicated.0 -
This is also happening to me using runtastic 6 pack app. Whenever I sync it adds multiple extra workouts to other days when I syncd as well. It's annoying if I use it 4 times a week say Monday ends up with or 5 workouts with varying amounts on it, I think k it's mfp as it is only recently it's been doing it0

It's started to happen with me as well. I use my iPhone 6 to track steps, GPS Data etc. Was working fine at first but now suddenly dupolicating not only in MyFitnessPal but also in MapMyWalks suggesting that it is a problem with the MapMyWalks app rather than a synchronisation issue. I thought it might have had something to do with turning on AutoPause as this problem occurred for the first time when I turned this function on but it was perhaps a coincidence as it happened again today without AutoPause being on. I'm going to try closing both apps and restarting my iPhone to see if that will sort the problem. Otherwise just need to manually delete the obviously duplicated entry.0

This also started happening to me when I synced my running apps with the new iPhone Health app. When I disabled, it stopped.0

How can we resolve this problem?0

This is ridiculous. I'm still getting double entries and you guys are correct when you say it's a pain to have to go back in and delete duplicate entries0

I think I figured out one reason this could be happening. I have my Map my Walk account connected to my Garmin Connect account. Whenever I run with my Garmin it saves duplicate entries to Map My Walk. When I don't use the Garmin there is only the one entry from Map my Walk. So if you have other fitness apps connected to MFP, etc. it may be that the duplicate activity is from the other app. I'm pretty sure this is the case because the time from t
Map my Walk and my Garmin will be a few seconds off from each other.
Hope this helps some of you figure it out on yours.0 -
great attempt to help - but that topic is over 6 yrs old and apps have changed as have bugs.
But you are correct any duplicating workouts should be examined with what syncs are setup between sites.1
