cardio

I have just started to exercise and I am walking, I started walking and I am up to 2.5-3 miles a day. Here is my problem I need something I can do that is cardio to get the old heart going. I have Fibromyalgia and I hurt but I know there must be some kind of cardio I can do that will not kill my body?

Not sure using a cuss word in the thread title is smart. you could incur a strike.

How about swimming? Keep walking, increase your pace or your distance (one or the other at a time, not both) as you are able. The key is to do things that are sustainable and slowly build on them.

I agree with swimming...walking uphill is difficult too. Zumba? Stationary bikes...hand bikes...stair machines...what can't you do?

I ride a bike 80 miles a week. It works wonders.
