So i havent really been on this site so i guess i would count as a newbie here..
so i´m 19 year old girl and for like forever ive wanted to lose weight and become fit, I have a slow thyroid, now recently after many tries i said this is gonna be the time i succeed on my weight-loss/fitness journey, but i can´t seem to get motivated to exercise properly,
I think it´s mostly because in my mind that if i don't exercise until i drop from exhaustion 2 hours-3 hours a day i wont see any resolute, if that makes sense..(did judo for some time that's why)
(sorry i have a hard time putting things into words)
- I´m wondering really which would be the better choice?, since money can be tight, should i still go for a gym membership
or start with home exercises first? if so I really need help from someone here because i feel like any real online home exercises i can do just wouldn't cut it? /reason why i never stick with it, lack of motivation because of that/.
-OR do anyone of you recommend a very hardcore strict exercise plan that knows it works? the harder the better.
thankyou for reading >_<
btw any one open to buddy up? for this long journey we all share in a way
let me know

You don't need a gym or fancy workouts to lose weight.
Calorie deficit for weight loss.
Exercise for fitness.
And you certainly don't need to workout for two hours to see results. The best exercise to do is one that you enjoy and will stick with. If you hate it, you won't want to do it, and will probably give it up, or skip days, or half-*kitten* it, and then you end up feeling guilty for all of it, and you don't want to go down that road.
First, get your eating dialed in. Set up your info here at MFP accurately and with realistic goals (meaning if you have 20lbs to lose, set your loss goal at no more than 1lb a week), and then eat your calories, and log everything as accurately as possible. Measuring and weighing foods is really helpful for getting portions right, and a food scale doesn't cost much - pick one up if you can.
And then move more. What do you like to do? Go for a walk, pick up a running program like c25k if you want to learn to run, look up FitnessBlender.com for a heap of awesome FREE video workouts, many of which require zero equipment, just your own body weight. There are many free smart phone apps with great workouts as well - Nike Training Club, 7 Minute Workouts, and so on. You can also find workout DVDs at your local library - great way to check out a variety of workouts without spending any money.
Eat your calories, exercise, drink water, take rest days, get good sleep, and repeat. It works!0 -
Eat at a deficit and move more.
You dont have to work out 2-3 hours a day to exhaustion to lose weight.
Hell, eating at a def and going on a 20-30 walk or run per day will do the trick.
You are making it too difficult. Losing weight can be very easy and cheap to do and as a matter of fact you can usually find much more in your wallet when you are losing weight.0
