what if you 'double up' your exercise? moderately active?

when working out TDEE it requests your activity level. Say i weight train 3 days per week, run 2 days a week (7-10 miles each) and then box once a week, i guess i tick the '6 days activity per week. But what if i change up my schedule so that i get more rest days? for instance, on one day I ran 7 miles total (to the gym and home again)and did 35 mins of weight training at the gym in the morning, and then did my hour of boxing in the evening. i am effectively exercising half the number of days but doing the same amount. I am doing stronglifts but my weights are not heavy enough to cause any long term tiredness but heavy enough that i struggle to complete my sets.

what activity level would I put myself as? any thoughts?

your activity level is still the same...
  • If you're still losing/maintaining (depending on your goal) then leave it the same. Even though it's more effort, I prefer to set my TDEE to sedentary and add on my exercise calories because, like you, I end up switching it up based on how busy I am.

Remember that the calculators aren't perfect and are just estimates so just pay attention to your body and adjust up if you're tired or down if you're gaining.
