I have been working out hard everyday for the past 27 days. Haven't taken a day off. My body has been feeling sore for the past week and I have been thinking of taking a few days off from the gym. If I didn't work out for two or three days and stayed within my calorie allotment would I see any weight gain? Or is it ok to take a few days off?

    Take a day off!!

You won't gain any weight if you're still in deficit. Your body need time to recover - try to take at least one day off a week.

I'm going to repeat the advice stated above, because it bears repeating.

You need to take rest days. At least one day a week. Especially if you are new to exercising. Not taking rest days is the best way to injure yourself.

On the contrary, you'll probably see better results giving yourself rest between workouts. The body needs time to repair itself.

In my experience, my muscle is fully repaired for heavy lifting.
