I have been working out hard everyday for the past 27 days. Haven't taken a day off. My body has been feeling sore for the past week and I have been thinking of taking a few days off from the gym. If I didn't work out for two or three days and stayed within my calorie allotment would I see any weight gain? Or is it ok to take a few days off?

Take a day off!!
You won't gain any weight if you're still in deficit. Your body need time to recover - try to take at least one day off a week.0 -
I'm going to repeat the advice stated above, because it bears repeating.
You need to take rest days. At least one day a week. Especially if you are new to exercising. Not taking rest days is the best way to injure yourself.0 -
On the contrary, you'll probably see better results giving yourself rest between workouts. The body needs time to repair itself.0

In my experience, my muscle is fully repaired for heavy lifting.0 -
