Hi all. I've let things go a fair bit in the last few years after an injury stopped me gyming and a change in job meant my commute switched from cycling to driving.
Now I'm forcing myself back into the gym and doing a bizarre commute just to squeeze in some cycling and I just found out about MFP and it seemed like a good way to get the diet under control.
I'm 6'2" and currently weigh 238lbs and the scales say 25.5% of that is fat. Wikipedia says that makes me obese. Which came as a bit of a shock.
Wikipedia also says that the border line between fitness and athletes is 14% body fat. By my reckoning that means that I've got to lose 28lbs of fat.
I've I've set myself the challenge of losing 2.2lbs a week which is going to be tough!
Wish me luck!
