delayed hunger?

anyone experience this? I have some pretty bad days in all of this but yesterday was HORRIBLE

nothing I ate could satisfy me, It was one of those days where I just kept grazing all day and no matter what I ate I just didn't feel satiated.

I wonder if my body is finally saying.... hey you've deprived me (though I really haven't)

maybe its all psychological

yesterday was nothing out of the ordinary, no added stress, nothing special going on but I swear if I didn't have to log my calories (and face reality) I would have doubled what I ate! or more!

VENT OVER!

One day isn't a big deal as long as you are on track for the rest of the week.

I find if I am way under one day the next day I am starving. I don't mind going over a bit as long as I am not over by more than I was under the day before.

For me if i feel constantly hungry, I check my protein count and usually i am lacking protein. That's just me though. Might not be your issue.

I have days like that. Can't find any rhyme or reason to them. I know I'm hungrier (true hunger) on days I lift, but I have other days where I can't seem to be satisfied no matter what for no reason and in no pattern that I can discern. I usually give myself a little leeway to go over my calories a bit on those days as it's not often or over enough to derail me at all. I figure it's my body telling me something, so I listen. If it was every day, that would be a problem.

If you are habitually undereating (as in too big a calorie deficit) then yes this kind of sudden, rebound hunger and the urge to eat aaaaall the foods is a normal survival response.

If that was happening to me, I'd review my calorie goal, and see if I need to raise the number of calories I'm eating daily.

I also find that if I'm too much under one day, or if I still eat decently but try and bank a big caloric deficit, the next day I am uncontrollably hungry. And then I eat all the things.

Edit: To the person above... Mind reader! Haha.

I did in the last two weeks raise my calorie goal and feel like that somehow opened pandoras box or something... I felt like whoa I have 200 more calories....lets see what I can fill it up with!

I was being a bit unhealthy and netting 900-1100 max on some days and most of the time I don't log my exercise so I can see this being true.. and yes it was AAAAAALLLLLLLLL food...

that's really too low a net number for anyone.... I'd say this is the problem. You need to log your exercise and eat back the exercise calories. Your MFP goal already has a deficit built in - by exercising and not eating back the calories, you're making the deficit too big, which sets you up for all the same problems you'd get from undereating. By eating back what you burn, you will still be at a deficit. If you think MFP is overestimating your calorie burn, then eat back only 80% of the calories. But you're not getting ahead by not eating back exercise calories - you're setting yourself up for issues like binge eating that come from eating too little.

yah im trying to work on it... I don't really log the exercise tho because I just trust whatever fitbit says I should prob add the things it doesn't count like swimming or cycling or jogging with the stroller
