Change in the way Coffee/caffiene affects you??

Ok, so I dont usually drink coffee, once a month if that and its usually a latte-- not ever just coffee. When I was a teen I used to drink alot of it at our hangout- the local Village Inn (spent teen years in a small town)

I dont drink coffe because it has had the reverse effect on me in that it makes me tired. Ie: I could go to starbucks and get a double shott espresso and be asleep in an hour.

However- today I went to the cafeteria at my job and got a sugar free vanilla caramel latte- (I know the sugar free stuff isnt that great for you) but it is a treat as I dont get them or have intake of sugar or sugar free stuff alot. ( I am doing low carb and I know the sugar free stuff will not help my cravings) -- but i got this latte and it has actualy made me a little hyper/jittery instead of tired as usual--

Has anyone else experienced this? After changing diet and eating habits ie:eating more healthy/natural foods?

Just wondering.....
