Hello!
So, I've been using MFP for a couple years. I go up and down as far as losing weight...but mainly down (as in fail). I just can't seem to get the whole "lifestyle change" thing down. I am use to eating out, fast food, processed food. That's just how I grew up. And it's HARD trying to eat completely different! While I haven't ever been obese, I have always been a little overweight, but athletic too. I am 28, 5'9" and around 182 lbs. My highest was 200 about a year ago. I would love to get down to around 160-170. I was suppose to be "skinny" 5 summers ago =/
The last couple weeks have been going pretty good. I have been doing JM's 30 Day Shred, which I have started a million times but never actually finished, but I PLAN TO FINISH IT this time! I am excited to see the results, I measured, took pictures and everything. This go around I have been trying to eat as clean as possible, although with as much processed crap we had in the house already, I do occasionally have something that I probably shouldn't (such as instant mashed potatoes with dinner or something like that). Normally when I "diet" I stay within my calories but I still eat crap. Chips are my downfall. I know it's okay to have something bad every once in a while, but I find for me personally, if I do something like eat out ONCE, it screws me all up and I go crazy. So I am trying to NOT eat anything bad so that doesn't happen. I do enjoy healthy foods, I DO enjoy exercising (well sometimes) I just need to get use to not eating crap for a few weeks and hopefully my body won't crave the crap I love.
98% of my MFP friends do not log in anymore or don't do their diary, don't talk, etc. I want some friends who can be encouraging and who I can feel like I'm tagging along side of while doing this! Please feel free to add me!
