"Great moments are born from great opportunity, and that's what you have here ..."
It's really what we all have here. We're all here for a reason. We've taken that first step by simply researching and signing up for account. It's an opportunity we all can seize upon and enjoy thousands of great moments along the way to a healthier life. It's one I'm committed to. I've done it before but the key for me this time is to keep it going and that is something I think MFP will provide. I'm not on a strict diet like the past where I cut out many enjoyable things. I'm doing this with making many healthy changes but still enjoying things that fit in to my daily count. If I have an off day, so be it. Just get right back on track the next day. No one is perfect and you have to remember that. Just keep working hard and great things will happen. Most importantly, you'll feel about yourself both mentally and physically.
I'm from NJ and don't know anyone on here right now. I would love to make a few friends to go along with on this journey. You don't have to be from NJ but if you are, well special bonus points to you )
So what are some of my goals? I just want to feel better about myself, get in better shape, lose weight. I'm too heavy and out of shape for my liking. I think settling in somewhere between 200-225 would be nice but I have to see how I feel WHEN I reach those levels. It'll happen. It'll just take some time and I'm fine with that. Not looking for a quick fix. This is a marathon, not a sprint. I'm already off to a good start and feeling good.
Please feel free to add me as a friend, send me any questions you have, or just give me a shout out to let me know how you're feeling. Hope to hear from some amazing people on here.

Well, it sounds like you already have a good mindset for starting your journey. Let it stay with you, never forget why you started. Working with your daily calorie count and still enjoying what you enjoy is key for making it a change in your lifestyle. You deserve to feel better in general and about yourself, while still enjoying it all. It does take a while to lose weight, but we all knew that. Putting it off for forever is just slowing you down even further afterall. It's taken me 7 months to lose 55 lbs, but It's surreal.. Time flies and I feel so much better. And I'm so happy that I didn't give up. You can do it. This site is an amazing tool we have. Good luck!0

Thanks Kaylee. Sounds like you've been doing an incredible job. 55 lbs in 7 months is impressive. Are you doing any type of exercising? Do you have an ultimate goal? You should be proud that you didn't give up and enjoy you're success while adding to it. Cheers!0
