Progress Question

So May last year I weighed in at 16st 10lbs. Weighed in again two days ago and I'm 13st 5lbs (however I was stopping and starting, and I began dieting again 3 months ago...lost 2st of the 3st ish since then.

I can see a difference...especially in my current picture. However, the difference is only see-able in my face, shoulders and collar bones, top of my arms and the top of my chest. One of my siblings said that weight loss goes from head to toe, as in you loose weight mainly off your face first and stomach last as its 'harder to loose weight from'...I don't trust this fact completely...but as of now it seems to be realistic as that's the main places I see the weight loss.

I know I'm thinner...but I'm still fat and I still have around 3st to go. Since the top of my chest is showing signs of weight loss, would this mean that maybe my 'moobs' will soon banish too? I run 2 miles, 5 days a week and the other two days I rest and do brief weight training (right now I'm focusing on my pecs to tone away my 'moobs' as stated.

I'm *hoping* I can loose the extra 3 stone by January for when I go on holiday to Australia...it'd be nice but even to be a stone lighter or to have my tummy flattened and moobs would make me happy (even though I wouldn't be completely where I would like to be). I mean I lost 2st in 2 months, surely that suggests it's possible? I've just been for a long walk and my belly was really showing, but when I'm relaxed elsewhere it doesn't.

My questions are:

Do you think the statement is true, regarding weight loss goes from head to toe?
Is the tummy the hardest part to loose weight from?
Will my moobs be 'next'?
Is it realistically possible to achieve a 3st additional weight loss in 6 months?

Also, any advice is greatly appreciated. Happy dieting!

    1) I think it will be different for everyone, and impossible to predict.
    2) For some, yes
    3) Maybe
    4) Yes, but weight loss will slow the closer you get to goal.

You didn't ask about this, but I would consider adding a lot more weight training to your exercise routines and ditch some of the cardio. I think you will be happier with the results. I'd consider whole body training, not spot training. You'll get more out of it, more efficiently. Think stronglifts 5X5 or similar.

Yup - my shoulders and chest look fab, but my tummy is slower to progress. I second adding more weight. Heavy squats and deadlifts have done more for my midsection and rear than all the crunches in the world ever did (and I look slimmer without dropping many pounds). Good luck :)

I lost from my face and tummy first so it differs by person

But I'm on a big fitness kick and my hips and thighs are re shaping thanks to PT

I would absolutely be looking at strength training alongside a little less cardio too
