Advice Needed

I have lost the weight I needed to but haven't a clue re: nutition and a good healthy maintenance diet. I thought I was eating a healthy diet but can't have been ! I am noticing hair loss so am now taking supplents ie: Biotin, Vit C + Zinc, Iron, a "Hair, Skin and Nails", plus the vits I was taking anyway.
I am led to believe I need a lot more protein in my diet to combat the hair loss. I have started eating fish or meat for breakfast. Wil this help my hair get back to normal ? I'm rather worried about it all !
Any advice please !
