Strength Training - To Failure and then some...how?

Well, I usually do weight training every other day, 3 days a week. My normal sets on anything i do is 12-10-8-6-failure (literally means you can't push/pull the weight anymore), increasing the weight slightly each set.
I do have a question though, why do I feel like I can keep going on those exercises about 30 minutes later? I haven't tried to go again after a workout, just because I don't want to injure anything, but it just seems like maybe I'm not pushing hard enough even though I know I am...or at least i think I am lol.

Your body has a system of recovery, You could workout for an hour, rest, work out for an hour rest, multiple times a day. This will eventually result in injury/overtraining so that is why people don't do it. Or maybe because they have a life.
