Not feeling the greatest today...

So I've been on here for 2 weeks and I've been doing EXCELLENT with my weight loss....8 lbs in 2 weeks isn't half bad! Thanks to this site I've been extremely motivated and it is what helps me do so well on my "lifestyle" change.
Today, though, is the first day I've felt like I'm on a diet. I'm having a hard time drinking my water today, and I was miserable when I went out to lunch with my work girls. I ate my lunch (turkey sandwich on wheat bread and a few slices of cucumber) at my desk before I went, and DID NOT have anything to eat. Normally, I would have just skipped out, but it's one of the girl's last day before she goes out on disability for 6 weeks, so we all went for her.
I'm bumming a bit today but I don't exactly know why. I have a bad feeling I'm gonna go home and just binge. I'm trying my hardest to get that ugly thought out of my head, but toast with a lot of peanut butter is sounding awesome right now. If I had junk in my house, I'd be eating a lot worse.
I need the support today fellow MFPers!!!!!

you can do it! Just think of the end result... (pun intended)0

Don't let how you feel today ruin all of the hard work you've done for the past 2 weeks (8 lbs!!!!). If I were you I would go for a run or do some sort of vigorous exercise so that you can let out that frustration. Remember....exercise raises endorphines and endorphines make you happy :happy:0

I understand how you're feeling. Don't get too down on yourself. If you feel like you need a little break from dieting, go ahead, and then get back on the horse tomorrow. If you don't give in a little, you will end up eating alot.
Some "treats" I like are Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom Lites ( ice cream bars) 90 cals. Yogurt with Grape Nut Flakes, 90 cal granola bar, toast with peanut butter isn't too bad.
I hope this helps, Good luck and don't get too down about it.0 -
I had a day like this yesterday, a very picky day, i didn't go too overboard but i tell ya, peanut butter on toast really hits the spot for me on days like this!
I say just go for it, go home and have a slice of peanut butter on toast and feel like your giving yourself a treat, it really isn't that bad and you can get straight back to it tomorrow!

Don't binge! Go home and do some cardio instead! Although, if it's wheat toast and PB then that's not so bad. Cmon lady, you're a Red Sox fan! Red Sox fans can't fail! It's against the law!0

Hey - Sorry to hear this - I'm having a grumpy day here too. There is a box of Lindor Truffles in the cupboard calling my name (very loudly). :grumble:
I just drank a 1 litre of water (4 x 8oz glasses) and now feel sick thinking about the truffles...
Worth a try? Can you just chug that water? It always gets me through a craving, or when I feel like over eating...

Thanks everyone! I'm feeling much better now....4 hours after I posted. I had some strawberries when I got home instead and my roommate and I cut a huge fruit salad, which was time consuming and always hilarious with her and I. We made dinner (homemade chicken tacos on whole wheat tortillas--YUM!) and now I'm gonna do some laundry (fun....NOT).
As much as I'm DYING to do some cardio (I really am!) I can't because you're looking at an injured player. Yep, that's right I'm on the DL. I fractured my toe on Friday night and sliced and diced it by dropping my brand new lawn mower on my foot. Yeah...great story. LOL. So now I'm limping around like a nerd. On top of that, I can't wear any close-toed shoes until I'm healed because the doctors are worried I'll get a nasty infection. Wonderful, right??

Yay! You made it! That's awesome...

Sorry to hear about your toe - keep the air circulating, you don't need a nasty infection... :sick:0 -
