Am I taking too many days off from the gym

I have been working out everyday at the gym since June 27, never taking a day off. I was starting to feel sore and tired all of the time and not seeing results on the scale like I did when I first started. So I decided to take a day off yesterday and now I want to take another day off today. I'm still going to eat right and do moderate excercise such as walking long distances. What would happen if I took today off from the gym too?

If you want the day off take the day off. Sounds like you need to add some rest days into your routine, rest/recovery days are just as important as the tough workouts, your muscles needthe opportunity to recover from the stress if they are going to get stronger.

I try and do a class once a week (zumba) two big workouts and then a small one per week - if zumba is cancelled I do the gym instead - any more is too much and i'll feel tired and unable to put in 100 % - the body needs a break every now and then x

I only work out 3x a week. When it comes to exercise, there is a thing called over training. Rest is just as important as moderate exercise
