Returning to gym after illness

So for the past 4 days I have been in bed with a high fever and body aches. It literally hurt to get out of bed. I woke up this morning feeling somewhat better, but not nearly 100%. This is the longest I have gone in the last 190 days without getting some sort of exercise. I'm worried it will put me down a bad path of laziness. Does anyone have any experience with recovery after illness and getting back to the gym? Thanks for listening!

Try going in for your usual time but slow the pace or lower the weight. I made the mistake of decreasing my time and then just started cutting workouts short. Take it slow remember you are not yet 100%.0

Let your body heal. Trying to exercise when you're still trying to fight off illness will prolong the time it takes to get back to 100%. Not to mention, you risk infecting others you work out around.0

You guys are right. Most importantly, I don't want to pass this bug on to someone else! Guess a little more rest won't hurt.0
