Trouble staying motivated

Hi guys...
I joined this website last summer. I've been trying to loose about 15-20 pounds for the last 2 years.
I'm 18, 5'7", now fluctuate between 145-150 pounds.

I know, I know, that's a perfectly normal, healthy weight.
But, I'm actually studying acting in college right now, and quite frankly it's not acceptable for the business. I don't want to "succumb to society" but I also want to have a job.
But, anyways, I haven't lost ANY weight these past 2 years and I've just gained more. Except for one month I was able to not eat any junk food and lost 2 pounds.
I'm aware that since I don't have that much weight to loose, it will take a long time to see any results on the scale. But I just stinkin' love ice cream, and I hate running. I'm hoping SOMEONE out there might have some words of wisdom? I need to get a healthy grip on life before things start getting serious.
