Anyone know much about paleo diet?

I'm not sure what the paleo diet is? Is it a diet or what? I have heard a lot of good things about it but I'm not sure it's a good idea. Has anyone tried it? What did you think about it? Would you recommend it? Please any advice and answers is helpful.

    I have a friend that's on it and raves about it. I just can't do a diet that is that restrictive. You are supposed to eat like a caveman. LOL.

    I'm sure there will be a lot of haters, but I feel my absolute best when I stick to paleo. Nutshell, it's grain free eating and sticking to whole foods (things that don't have ingredients :laugh: ). It's possible to lose weight, although I didn't, but I look like I did--for the first time in my life I'm not bloated. Google Whole30 for really good explanations of the whats and whys. Eating this way gives me way more energy.

    I'm on a low carb grain free diet (except I am allowed to eat some corn) that is similar to the paleo diet. I like how I don't feel so bloated on it but I'm having a hard time actually eating enough calories to maintain a healthy diet. I mean there's only so much meat and eggs I can eat in a day before I want to scream. I eat a lot of veggies and fruit but I still feel like it's hard to get over 1000 calories. I don't feel super hungry though so that's a pro about the diet.
