Ok, so I have been on here for a number of weeks...I have had some excellent weeks and some mixed weeks and some terrible weeks. Lately they have been kinda mixed, eating well for 5 days and eating terribly for 2 days. I have my second 5k this week (hoping for a good boost in my time from last month) I am doing 4 yoga classes a week (5 hours) I have personal training once a week, two trail runs each week and I fill in the rest of the time with a cross training and some more weight training each week. My exercise motivation is fantastic as long as Im not sick or injured, which is too often, like now with a terrible cough.
Eating is kinda sucky. I feel like I make good choices for the most part, stick to my cals, try not to eat after 8pm, lots and lots of water. BUT I have those days where I go crazy and loose control and eat and/or drink too much and I KNOW it feels yucky and I do it anyway.
so yeah, I lost 7 pounds as of the middle of last week, then today I am up one again, and I have 23 to go and it feels SO FAR AWAYYYYY!!! I have those days where I am like who cares?! Im just gonna give up, its just so discouraging :( waaahhhhhhhhhhh. I feel like if I just get down to 165 I would have the motivation to get down to 145. I just need some loving MFP encouragement :)

It happens! Don't stress or you'll make it worse. Just relax and readjust. I have the cough right now too. With the holidays, just focus on staying stable (physically and emotionally :) and enjoy the holidays. You'll get there!! Just stick with it!!

You Can Do It!!!!!!!!!! Don't get frustrated, get determined. Turn the I Think I can into I KNOW I can! You've done great so far. 1 lb up? Just water retention. Don't let that make you lose sight of the big picture. Kinda like the can't see the forest for the tree thing. All my best. Plus a big loving HUG!

you didnt gain it in a week or a month...you need to let the time pass and change the habits that got you there in the first place to ensure that the weight stays off in the future and only then will you be fit and happy....take the time......learn the process......friend me if you want....i've been doing this almost 3 years now and am down just under 50lbs....it takes a long time to change your life...

This might sound weird but try this. Every 2 week take a cheat day. Yup, the whole day. Eat whatever you want (withing reason).
You will do 2 things. You will throw your body a curve ball after 13 days of good eating. You'll ramp up your metabolism.
    2. You'll limit all your damage to 1 day.
I use to fight those feeling to eat poorly over 2-3 days. I would eat good most meals but I would cheat on others and I would screw up 2-3 days. Then I gave in one days and went crazy and then I got it out of my system. Now I have a cheat day 1 time every 30 days. I don't look forward to it but my body tells me when it's time. I don't even track it, it just happens. I've read several diets that recommend this also.
Give it a try....1 days versus your 8 if you're doing 2 per week.

Agreed. Metabolism definitely needs a curve ball thrown at it every once in a while. I think learning more about the metabolism itself is key in understanding weight loss plateaus and how to (try to) avoid them.
