Hi people, can anyone befriend me for moral support and advice please?

I gained a stone at the start of the year, went from 8.13 (I'm 5'3") up to 10.1. So far, I managed to get down to 9.9 last week after exercising like a crazy lady and eating super low carb, but had a huge weekend binge. Monday I was up to 10.2. :( and I am hovering at about 9.10 this week.

For the last 2 weeks I have been doing insane stuff like levels 1,2&3 of 30 say shred in a row, then level 2 of 6w6p, today I did levels 1,2&3 of killer buns. Upping the ante each time

If anything I look worse and I am all swollen, my clothes don't fit and I look flabbier. I drink tons of water, cause I sweat buckets. A light exercise day for me is level 2 of killer buns and level 2 of 6w6p. I'm considering trying Insanity. I'm trying to watch what I eat, but could be out eating my exercise!

I tried to go low carb, but it made me feel like death, so I am now trying to do it sensibly and log calories with MFP.

Can anyone help? I am totally demoralised. I feel fit enough to take down a grizzly bear, but I am just not getting any smaller!

  • Hi everyone gets like that sometimes.
But with the carbs thing if u lower ur fats to about 50 grams then u can eat more carbs and feel better.
Also if u lift some weights ( not saying to become a bodybuilder ) then u naturally loose weight as some of that food goes into rebuilding muscles and this in turn will increase ur metabolic rate so yeah.

Motivation wise: just picture how u want to look whenever u feel like giving up or when u feel like u want to just eat! Just imagine how good you will feel when u get back down to 8 stone. You can reach your goal if you were there once u can get there again.

    Good luck! Hope you succeed

Thanks for the advice. I'm litterally miles from a proper gym, so just rely on free weights and bodyweight exercises for now. You can do some pretty cool weight training just using your own body. :) Nearly 10 pounds is quite a lot for bodyweight exercises :)

I am going to try the visualisation technique. I know I've done it before, it just seems to be going so slowly this time. :( I just want to get back into all my cute clothes. Not that I'm shallow ;-)

    Thanks!

Hi! I would recommend taking your measurements. They are more often a better representation of what is going on with your body than a scale. Feel free to add me for support.

Yeah, the problem is that I'm getting larger and puffier. It may be the shed loads of exercise I'm doing? Am I correct in thinking levels 1,2&3 of killer buns and thighs back to back is a pretty harsh lower body workout. My thighs and hips are swollen and I can't get one of my pairs of trousers on. :(

I must be getting fitter though?
