I don't like angry music. The shouty stuff where the "singer" is screaming. It makes me anxious.
I like laid back stuff like Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, Birdy, Mumford, Jack Johnson, Arcade Fire....that kind of stuff0 -
Country and rap0
-
I think that's referred to as "World" music. Or something like that.0 -
there isn't anything i hate 100% except Toby Keith. Bruno Mars is a close second (probably 99.76%)0

Can't say that I do! Anything I think of, I can come up with at least one exception to.
Screamer - Along Came a Spider (seriously, their new album has a bit less screaming and is going to be epic.)
Rap - I like a decent # of Eminem songs
I wouldn't CHOOSE to listen to a lot of jazz or polka and the like but it doesn't completely grate on me...
Yeah, I have nothing! I'll blame being a music business major on this, I took so many classes in different genres and learned to appreciate a lot of it!0 -
Not really...except ICP but that just feels like low hanging fruit.0
-
Jazz and opera0
-
Country, with very few exceptions.0
-
I never thought I would HATE any kind of music, but I do hate Scream-o...then again, I don't classify it as music.0
-
It be easier to list what I like then I what I don't like.
I like classic and conservative Christian music.
Don't like anything else.0 -
I can't deal with rap. I don't want to hear about money and b*itches and sex on every song. While I admit I did listen to some eminem because some of his stuff is beyond funny.
Not all rap is like that - Lupe Fiasco being a notable exception - but unfortunately most mainstream rap is =( You often have to look for the underground stuff to find the good artists.0 -
Definitely country for me - especially older country. Ick.
You can't have a screen name like Lizabelle and not like country music. That almost seems like a law.0 -
Music is like Candy. You throw the rappers away.0
-
With all the horrors in this world, the least of my concerns is how someone plays an instrument slightly different than I would normally prefer.0

Anyone that says country should remove themselves from my FL, now. Yeeehaw
Depends on what country you're talking about. Today's "Taylor Swift" country? I can do without that. However, even though I'm mainly a Metal/Hard Rock fan, I really like things like Alabama, Randy Travis, Charlie Daniels, Hank Jr., etc.
Does that mean I can be on your FL? :bigsmile:0 -
Dubstep.
My husband loves it. I think it sounds like crap. I couldn't even classify it as music.
Lol. My brother is actually a DJ for this kind of music. I was about a year ahead of this trend, my husband on the other hand says the same thing, "That is NOT music!"
I like some of it... most of the time it's annoying.
I don't like a lot of country but I can't say that I dislike the whole genre, because I do enjoy Faith Hill and Shania Twain every now and then.
I don't think I have a genre I don't like. I get really bored with one genre of music fast (unless its reggae) so I constantly have to keep switching it up.0 -

aw... I love ICP LOL
I love death metal- and viking bands. I do love me some heavy metal- but screamo isn't really my thing- and yes- there is a difference- the world of metal is extremely varied- and unforutnately we're getting a lot of variety that they keep trying to rename- or give new names- but some of the older stuff (older- they are still out- but compared to the stuff coming out they are "old")0 -
Anything "christian", classical, opera, most new country (aka wanna-be rock), death metal, folk, "world", most pop.
Love some older country, southern rock, some newer rock, hard rock/metal (from 70s/80s).0 -
Can't stand RAP --
Love country --- old and new.0 -
Nothing wrong with Scream-o/hardcore/post hardcore0

I'm interested to see the diversity- and sometimes I get frustrated- but I like that people are just going with it- that makes me happy in a world full of Nickleback and beiber it's good to see DIFFERENT.0 -
Dudebro country/hillbilly rap. I think it's funny how so many people used to say "I like everything *except* country and rap," and then they COMBINED FORCES. It's a dangerous world out there, kids. I will admit to knowing most of Garth Brooks's catalog by heart, though.0

^^This. X1000000000. Why is this still a thing? ICP was around when I was in high school, and it was stupid then. I don't get it, at all, and I've watched documentaries about the "juggalo" lifestyle to figure out the appeal. It's just...strange (and *I'm* strange). And it's not music.0 -

/\ Finally!!! There is so much good underground stuff with intellect and wit behind it. Its a shame that when people think of hiphop / rap all they think about is gunz n bichaz.0 -
Christian pop
Christian rock
Christian alternative (WTF)
Basically all of that, and 99% of country music after 1988.
I totally agree.0 -

As a Christian, I don't really like most Christian music. I mean some are really talented and all, but you really just have, like, one topic to write songs about. And you can only do that a few ways before it get mind numbing.0
