Refocusing After Thanksgiving and

Being mentally tough isn't easy. There are so many opportunities to be weak minded and unfocused. Vince Young had a breakdown on the field this weekend and looks stupid because of it. The Raiders and Steelers game was fully of poor decision making that got one player ejected from the game. These sports examples are just some simple ways where pressure, frustration, and high expectations got the best of people. You and I are no different.
Many of us will be refocusing after Thanksgiving and the holidays in general. We'll get motivated, we'll be focused, we'll be determined to make a change. Some will start P90X or Shakology or YRG Yoga or just start at a new gym in mass. These will all be great improvements over sitting around on our collective *kitten* for sure.
I've got a new idea though...stop making excuses now. You and I both know we've made excuses. I'm too busy. I'm not in good enough shape to start something right now, I need to build up to it. I don't have the money. Blah Blah Blah. I'm tired of our excuses. I'm tired of hearing about your period (as my friend Steph brought up so eloquently recently), your lack of motivation, or that you don't like working out at a gym. Get off your *kitten*!. Your goals aren't measured week to week. They're measured across your lifetime. Your life could last longer and be better if you get moving. That's it. It doesn't matter to me if you're fat, skin, blue, green, constipated, bloating, sore, or whatever. Yoga helps those of us with injuries to move. Dieting helps all of us better fuel our bodies for life. Moving in any way helps to burn excesses that we've spoiled ourselves with. You earn that luxury and frankly you haven't and neither have I. Most of us need to shut up and get going. Do something about it. Get your mental and physical *kitten* together and get going. Walk, stretch, do P90X I don't care but shut up and do something about it.
Inspiration is external. Motivation is internal. So stop making excuses and go. I know I need to too.
