I find it appalling that catfish and bass are getting all the attention. Crappie are fish too....tasty as well.

    @ Crimson - Nice!

Best fish to fish for in my obnoxious opinion, even if it's just catch and release. Oh man, I'll try and find some of our pics from Clearlake, CA. 3lb crappie are not uncommon. A super duper blast on light gear.

Hah, I read that line thinking, "I'll be someone really wanted to say Crappy, and doesn't even know what a Crappie really happens to be." I guess being from Minnesota might have something to do with it! PS - Crappie are delicious.

I read this line thinking it said "Crapple", and was a thread about a poorly named imaginary fruit.

    I'm a little disappointed, tbh.

Pronunciation depends on which side of the mason dixie line. But tasty all the same

Crappie are delicious but perch are better.

Best catching I ever did was on Lake Forks one night with my Uncle. We bought probably a 200 crickets and each caught an easy 50 crappie of reasonable size. There were enough crickets left over my dad and cousins to catch their own 50 crappies a piece.

I need to buy some crickets to go after Perch on Lake Washington.
