Eating under your calorie goal.

Options
Hey guys,

Just a quick question. What is the actual danger of eating under your calorie goal?

For example:

Today my breakfast and lunch totalled to 503 calories, then I burned 600 calories walking, at the gym and walking back but it's 7pm am I really expected to eat 1000+ calories before I go to bed?

I've managed to get my calories up to 900 now. Is that still bad?

Any help appreciated.

Ash

It's suggested that you should at least get to 1200 for healthy brain function, but 1000 might be enough. As long as you don't do this all the time it'll be fine.

You need to eat a minimum of 1200 calories a day to satisfy your basic nutrition requirements. Then eat back your exercise calories if you want to/fancy it.
