Which alias?
Hey all, I have a few stories self published on Smashwords and Amazon. Up till now I've published under the name of R.L. O'Halloran, which is my first initial, middle initial and last name. I read an article stating that it's better to have a simple name so readers can easily find your work.
So I came up with the alias of Lucy Landrum. Landrum is my middle name and I've just always liked the name Lucy.
Which do you guys think is better?

I actually like R.L. O'Halloran better.
My pen name I will use when I'm published will be K.C. Preston. My real name doesn't "pop" or flow as well as the pen name.0 -
Mine is just too long,. Since most of my work is available on readers, having to look up the name O'Halloran with the apostrophe might be too much work for some people. That's why I'm thinking of changing it.0

I suppose it could be a pain.
I suppose you could try selling books under Lucy Landrum and see which alias you sold more with.0 -
Id edit your post to remove your full name.even though your location isn't listed, if someone is motivated enough, they can find you.0

Good point, done.. although God help anyone who tries to find me.0

Why don't you remove the apostrophe from O'Halloran.0 -
why not use your first and middle name?
either are fine but if I really like someone by someone I have no problem typing in their name (whatever it may be)0 -
J.K. Rowling
J.R.R. Tolkien
R.L. Stine
Shall I go on?
If your work is good, it doesn't matter if you call yourself Rumplestiltskin. People will find you. Readers will recommend you to friends. No one gives a rat's *kitten* what you call yourself. Your name isn't either an, or the, issue.0 -

Good point. I'd have to change all the book covers and resubmit the manuscripts with the change, too.. maybe I had best just let it be.0
