I live by myself so my weekly grocery list tends to be quite short.
Soy milk and yogurt (to make overnight oats)
Vegetables (whatever is in season, at the moment a lot of tomatoes and eggplant)
Salad (lettuce, cucumber)
Tinned fruit or if I can find cheap stuff then fresh fruit
Kimchi (to use with noodles, omelettes, or in ramen)
Eggs
Chicken breast (I prefer thigh meat but chicken breast is half the price)
Pork (I try to chose less fattier cuts)
Cheese (individually portioned type as it lasts longer and is easy to calculate the calories)
Staple carbs when I run out are:
Pasta (white)
Noodles (udon, chanpon or rice noodles)
Rice (white)0 -
broccoli
carrots
onions
zucchini
bell peppers
mushrooms
spinach
eggplant
bananas
peaches
mangoes
oranges
frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts
extra lean ground turkey or beef
salmon fillets
eye of round steaks
chicken bacon
frozen veggies (usually California mix)
strained tomatoes
sweetener packets
k-cup coffee pods
light rye bread
pitas
eggs
low fat cream cheese
salsa
source yogurt
