what do I do? I typically do 90 mins of cardio (treadmill....in the range of 1000 calories for the 90 mins), when I'm done, I am *ravished*.

Drink water. Eat throughout the day. Small snacks all day long. Eat right afterward a banana, a protein shake/bar. Stay hydrated. This is pretty general and probably not helpful at all but just make sure to eat and drink.0

If I worked out for that long, I would be starving too! I'm pretty sure that's a normal reaction - perhaps you can make sure to have a small snack before, and have your meal ready afterwards - when do you work out? I usually eat dinner afterwards, and I find it works well to have something I can prepare quickly so I don't snack beforehand.
OR another idea I have is splitting your long workout into two shorter ones - 90 minutes is a really long time! No wonder you are getting hungry!0 -
I work night shift 7p-7a...when I get home, I am pretty wiped. My workouts are inconsistent as far as time goes. Tonight I got off early and hit the gym around midnight....so I don't want to eat much at that time. I came home and had a banana and a pear. I drink LOTS of water all day. I refill my 32 ounce bottle 4-5 times a night at work.0

Oh the whole night shift screwing every thing up thing again. I work nights and it's a bloody pain in the but. Normal eating times are for people with normal work and life schedules. You have to adjust when you eat by when you expend your energy. Break your fast with a larger meal whenever it is that you wake up. Snack throughout the day/night and always eat something substantial after a huge calorie burner. Your muscles are thirsting and starving for energy at that point and sometimes a couple piece of fruit just won't cut it. Eat when your body tells you that it needs you too. I don't know anyone who wouldn't be famished after killer workouts like that.0
