I was logging in my morning walk and noticed there is an option for walking carrying an infant or a 15 pound weight. I tried it and it gave me about 20 calories extra from my usual choice of just minutes walked. I wonder if the trackers take into account weight at all. I am carrying around a lot more than 15 pounds of extra weight all the time.

The tracker does take weight into account. When I first starting MFP at 206lb, a 25 minute walk at 3mph burnt 128 calories. I'm now 160lb and the same walk burns 99 calories.0
