Better Late than Never

Hey there! I joined not that long ago when my husband bought a Garmin bracelet for tracking his walking. We've been on a weight loss journey together (along with our son) since April. As of this morning I'm down 27 pounds. This puts me at my short-term goal, which is under 200 lbs. Something I haven't been in probably 15+ years (I'm 32). My goal weight is 170, though I am wondering if my body could actually get to 160. I'm not planning on changing my goal weight to that, but my plan is to reach 170 and maintain it.

I am LOVING how much stronger I feel and confident. I feel further encouragement from the NUMEROUS people in my life that I have inspired and challenged to take charge of their own health. One of the things I have been doing the last couple of months is those 30 Challenges you find on Facebook. I did the Ab Challenge and am currently finishing the Beach Body Challenge. For August, I am planning the Butt and Split Challenge. I'm pretty excited to gain flexibility back, especially since I used to dance and cheer when I was younger, so I EXPECT my flexibility to be better....here's to getting it back!

I doubt I'll spend much time on these boards, but I figured I'd intro myself and say, Thanks for letting me crash the party!

Congratulations. That is awesome!!!!!!!!!!! How tall are you, that will help give you an ideal body weight range. If you google "ideal weight calculator" a bunch of them come up. I use them just as a guide to figure out my goal weight.

And I LOVE 30 and 100 day challenges too. I am kinda creating one that is starting tomorrow for ABS and BOOTY. Two areas I want to work on....

Again.. CONGRATULATIONS you are doing so great and welcome to MFP!!!

Welcome and congratulations. Each small step contributes to progress. I remember when I finally passed back through200 on my way ( or weigh) back to my current weight. There may be ups and downs, but there are always supportive people and tools for you to use. Keep at it...one step at a time.

I'm 5'9.5". I know my ideal weight (at the top end) is 170. I figure that once I hit that goal, I will probably make new fitness goals to see what my body can do, which I figure may contribute to some additional weight loss.

Thanks for the encouragement! As of Sunday, I'm down 29 pounds. WHOOT!
