edited February 28 in Goal: Maintaining Weight
about 3 weeks ago I had a nose surgery to fix my deviated septum and I was't able to eat much for a few days. its been about 2 weeks since I've gone back to my usual diet of eating about 1400-1450 calories a day. I thought any weight I had lost, would be back by now but I'm still 2.5 pounds lighter than pre-op weight of 126. I know 2.5 pounds isn't much but I would still like to keep it off. so my question is, should I keep eating my 1450cal a day or do I have to decrease it a bit to keep that small weight off?

1450 Isn't maintenance for almost anybody that isn't bed bound surviving off their BMR, so i don't see why you'd need to reduce your calories if you're already eating at a defecit for weight loss. If you don't eat the excess calories needed to gain a pound, you don't magically gain a pound (of fat).

What did your surgeon or dietician say about it?

Healing is more important than keeping a couple pounds off.

I would suggest eating at maintenance, but make sure you choose the lowest activity level because you need to rest and recover, not go back to being active just yet.
