Health Rider / Aerobic Rider

I have one of these older exercise machines generally called a Healthrider that was enormously popular a few years ago but nothing quite like them seems to be made anymore. It had some sort of electronic reader on it that doesn't work anymore but I would like to figure out how to somewhat accurately estimate how many calories are being burned based on the number of reps. It gives you quit an exhausting cardiovascular workout in a short period of time. Does anyone still use one of these?

I found an article in the harvard health magazine it says with Healthrider it burns 1.2 calories/lb of weight0

Whatever it burns, it's likely far less than you think. The health rider was one of those machines that felt really strenuous doing it, but did not really work you that hard. By that I mean it would fatigue the muscles and maybe increase heart rate, but did not increase VO2 or muscle strength to the same degree. I knew this when it first came out, because of the design and after trying it once. Subsequent research confirmed my initial analysis.0
