My BMR is 1148 and my TDEE is 1678. At 4'11'' I know I can't eat as many calories as taller folks, but MFP set itself to 1200 calories a day.
I'm confused!!! I need to lose 30 lbs. How many calories do I need.
BTW trying to abide by the 1200 for the last 9 weeks and lost 8 lbs. Seems really slow to me.
Can anyone expain if I'm on the right track?

8 lbs in 9 weeks is right on target for someone with only 30 lbs to lose. You're doing great, just keep going.0

I was looking for an explaination of the numbers and how that relates to my intake calories. Is 1200 a one size fits all number? Take into consideration I'm shorter than most fifth graders

It's what MFP defaults to for most folks who want to lose 2LBS a week. In your case, as it's actually above your BMR (it isn't for most of the folks asking) it's a good fit. 1300 would probably be fine too.
