Beginning a long journey.

Hey everyone,

I am beginning a journey to lose 100-150lbs by next year. For the first time in my life..I have grown to be tired of being obese..Me and my 11 year old daughter have began watching what we eat and trying to become more active. Someone showed me the oz weight loss plan but I can't do that because I don't have the discipline to stick to it..So for now i am counting calories and trying to exercise at any free moment. When I get access, i ride an exercise bike for 30 min..so far twice this week. Of course it is tough bc exercise is not apart of my daily routine and my trans went out so I can't make it to the gym whenever I want. I am starting in small increments. I was wondering if someone could offer some beginners tips. It's only been a week. So I am not looking to drop 10lbs in 10 days..I have given up Pepsi to begin this journey as a starting point. So if you can add me as a friend and share some beginners tips it would be extremely helpful..Thanks everyone!

Walking is a great exercise. Especially to those starting out and you don't need special equipment :-)
