I got up to do my tapout workout today and realised it was Yoga.
5 minutes in and I remembered why I hate yoga, I just cant seem to do it and my achillies (reconstruction last year) doesn't like the downward dog position. Seems neither so my arms.
Does anyone have any suggestions what I could do in substitute as I cant bear to ever put that yoga DVD in again.
Help please?

Maybe you could just do some stretching on your own? There are a bunch of free yoga videos out there on You Tube and elsewhere, so you could also see if one of those works better for you.0

You can modify down dog by bending the knee of the leg you had reconstruction on. Also if you go to Doyogawithme.com, they have some chair yoga. Maybe it's the instructor on the DVD, I know I have DEFINITELY had some instructors who made me almost walk out of the class. You should try an in-class session, it could be you're not doing some of the poses exactly right. Yoga is wonderful for injured limbs, it has helped countless people regain mobility. The inner-peace thing is also a huge bonus :P
Other than that, just basic stretches I guess. You won't get the calorie burn and the full body tone like you would with yoga, but you would gain flexibility.0 -
I'm not great at yoga either - but I'm hanging in and have been working at it for a couple weeks. I've seen some improvements already - I just find it boring as h&ll! There are also moves I really can't do well as the muscles in my legs aren't "long" enough... but small improvements... Give it another try - and it has to be more than once
You can do it!0
