HRM question

I'm going to the beach with my 2 year old in a little while. We'll be having a good walk but it wont be very fast because her legs are only little! Is it worth wearing a HRM for non-vigerous exercise like this? Or will I get a false reading?

I don't think there'll be an issue with the HRM, that'll be accurate whatever you're doing. I think the problem would be if you had a foot pod measuring your stride, or even if you simply know far the walk is. I am thinking that the beach length might be say 1 mile but you'd walk 1.2 miles with your feet slipping backwards in the sand.0

I would wear the HRM and count it as calories burned. Alot of people walk for exercise and at various pace so rather you go fast or slow pace you are still burning calories.0
