Ok, now I am confused - I calculated my MFP calories per day and it is alloting me 1580.
Scooby site (-20%) is 1574 calories a day
and there is a third TDEE site I cannot remember the name for but it alloted me 1580 calories a day.

so my question is this: If the TDEE -20% is per day NOT eating back calories from exercise as it is already included - then HOW can it be the same number as my MFP calories per day which I am SUPPOSED to eat back some of my exercise calories?

I am confused...

What do you have set as your MFP goal? 1 or 2 pounds per week or something else?

If you don't have a lot of weight to lose (i.e. if you would be going for 1 pound or 1/2 pound per week on MFP), then you should probably be going with TDEE -15% or -10%. Going with the -20% may be more aggressive than what you want. If you do TDEE -10% that should give you something around 1750 daily, which would more closely match MFP's goal plus exercise.

Hi Mathjulz - I set my MFP goal to 1lb a week as I only had 28lbs to lose when I started and did not want to over do it.
So I guess that is the issue? based on 1lb I should only take off 10% of the TDEE goal?
