Hello
I'm about to invest in my first ever Blender and I was wondering if anyone had any nice, healthy & even possibly low-cal smoothies? I pretty much eat anything so all recipes will be helpful! Also could anyone tell me what blender you'd recommend? I'm thinking about a Breville Blend-Active because I have a frend who has one and its really good but I've been looking at online reveiws and quite a few people have said it breaks after a few uses.
Thank you :)

I love the recipes on this site: http://dashingdish.com/recipe/pina-colada-protein-shake/

Part of that site is a paid membership but I haven't had any problems accessing recipes.

As for a blender, I swear by my Ninja. We've had a few blenders over the years and this is the only one that I've had that works well on ice. I use it at a minimum of once a day and we've had it for more than a year with no problems at all. From what I've seen, they don't make ours any more but if it ever breaks, I'd buy another ninja. We paid about $100 and it was WELL worth the money spent.

VITAMIX! Seriously love this thing. It is well worth the $, I use it almost daily to make smoothies, sauces, soups, baby food, grind coffee... it's incredible.

I struggle finding a low cal smoothie recipe too!
The best I've been able to come up with is:

    Avocado
    mixed greens
    almond milk
    Vanilla extract
    Cinnamon

Play with the amounts to see what
    Works for you!

    Hope this.helps!

Definitely Vitamix. I have a Breville at a second home because I didn't want to spend the money on two Vitamix and I kind of regret it. It is good but not that good.

As far as recipes... I just put everything under the sun in my smoothies... Including cereal to give it a bit of crunch.
