Hey everyone,
Sorry I've been out of the loop! I have been exercising, I just haven't been on to post it! I was having a really hard time getting motivated to exercise at all, so I gave myself some motivation. I don't usually work out on the weekends, but I do five times during weekdays. I told my husband that when he gets home from work he needs to ask me if I worked out that day. If I did, good for me! If I didn't then, I have to do it that evening in front of him! lol I really don't want to do Taebo in front of him, so it's good motivation for me! I just got done doing the amped full throttle. Whew! I'm sweating and I'm not even using the bar! I haven't been doing the amped series that long and I can already see the outside lines of my six pack starting (okay maybe it's just fat but there are lines there now!) and definition in my calves! So that is motivation too!
I hope you guys are still keeping it up. I will try to log more often. I just haven't had time. I hope you have a happy Thursday!
Melissa

Good for you MM! That's a wonderful idea - hope he keeps asking. Hope you made it through the storms last night ok. It was pretty rough some places around here.

Only two more days of exercise left for me. Yesterday I walked in the morning, then did strength class in the afternoon and rushed over to catch the last hour of yoga. I felt really bad leaving the gym - I slammed the door open, since I was in a hurry to go to yoga, and really smashed someone that was trying to come in.:embarassed: Should not be in a hurry to go to yoga - should be calm, relaxed, forgiving.

Today I hope to go to boot camp class again. My little sister is in town, so she gets to decide which class we go to. I think I might have scared her away from the boot camp by telling her what a workout it was. I also plan on walking today - I still haven't watched America's greatest mom - and pretty much I just watch t.v. on the treadmill.

    Work hard!

Mornin' all. Did my HHABS TTB again. Impatiently waiting for Jillian's Shred to get here. Rainy & cold here so I won't be getting outside today.

    Everyone have a great day!

    Good Morning, Good Morning!

Nice to see you again, Mechanicmom!

So I'm becoming a bit attached to my HRM -- anyone else have this problem? I find myself not wanting to do things I usually like to do like weightlifting and yoga because it doesn't get my HR up. I need to use the HRM to help train more efficiently, but not dictate my life.

It has also been freaking me out because my resting HR is so low (53 - 60bpm) and I burned very few calories yesterday during what I thought was a lightly active day.

Anyway, I took yesterday off except for a 40 minute walk. Today I'm back to really pushing it. I'm going to do my "900 Calorie Special" -- alternating 10 minutes of intense cardio with 100 reps of strength moves.

I'm pitching my show today to Spike TV!!!! So excited!!!

Walked while grocery shopping for an hour today. You ever try to walk fast while grocery shopping? I did today because everything looked good. Boy groceries have become expensive. I have to clean part of the Town's Historical Society's building tonight because we are going to have an open house. Well gotta go do bus and then the cleaning. So enough exercise of a different kind. lol

    Let's try this again.

Since getting back on track last week, I got incredibly sick. Spent Mother's Day on the couch trying to not pass out. I think I was so dehydrated from all the decongestants that I made myself that ill. At least it was "my" day, so I didn't feel guilty! I've been battling the chest crud but able to decrease my workouts enough to get through them.

Great job to all of you! So is 4th of July our next goal? I'm bagging it in for this one. No weight gain, but a ton of new muscle definition so I'll take the trade off.

Today is my day off. But, I still managed to walk both ways from the subway today (there and back) so that's an hour of walking with my backpack. I'm noticing this in my legs. My "underbutt" muscles are really sore.

Now that I know that walk (with the added weight of the pack) is a respectable calorie-burner, I'm more inclined to do it.
