Newbie to exercise

Hi there!

I've just started properly exercising last week and am already feeling the benefits...I went swimming (proper swimming not messing around) three times last week and once today. I have also cut out a load of stuff from my diet and am trying to cut down on the rest...cheese is my weakness. I have not had much chocolate in about three weeks and find I don't really miss it! (I was a chocoholic) which has surprised me.

I am hoping to lose 2 stone initially and then see how I feel. I will stop once I am happy with my body which I haven't been for a long time.

I am trying the gym tomorrow in the hope that mixing exercise will increase the weight loss. I think it will happen quickly as I haven't done anything for so long, and would like to lose a stone in the first month...

Looking forward to reading this forum and getting extra motivation!

    Go girl! Try it all and make sure you're enjoying whatever it is you're doing. Remember, this is a life-style change, not a "short-term pain for long-term gain". Or at least you will be more successful at keeping the weight off if it is the former. Keep up the GREAT work!
