want to talk about working out? like to learn about nutrition, research exercise, talk fitness and different ways to eat? i'm also into music (playing it, listening to it), photography and pets - not much into shoe shopping, talking about celebs or fad diets. i'm looking for people who are really into creating and/or living a healthy lifestyle, people who if they don't like their current workout finds one they do like because they want to keep it going.
i have some injuries i've been working through (after seeing a physical therapist), and i'm doing the best i can. i love looking up fitness equipment reviews, and i'm proud of myself that i started out very weak, but i'm getting stronger from my workouts. i was excited that i started out only able to walk 15 minutes per day and now do 40+. years ago i was a bit of a gym rat - love working out again, even at such lower weights.
i'm 57, current weight is 165 and i live in l.a. i used to play in a punk band and a metal band, used to go dancing every night. still play acoustic guitar and bass, and if my shoulders keep improving, i look forward to getting back to electronic drums. very happily married to the fastest guitar player i ever played with (and he's an all around nice guy).
i don't need anyone to be accountable to (i actually don't get this) as ultimately i feel accountable to myself. i don't mind helping motivate, if what motivates you is talking fitness and nutrition, learning more about it and how it applies to you. when i need motivation i look up fitness equipment reviews and things like that, and it would be nice to have a few buddies to talk with that stuff about.
if adding a little more weight to your workouts or a few more reps or minutes makes you a happy camper, or you're into eating right and being healthy for the long run, let's chat!
please include a message with any friend requests.

Hi there! I'm Ashley
Looking for a close knit group of friends I can get to know also, to help keep everything on the right track.
I am working through injuries as well, back problems and sciatica, and when the exercise isn't working for me, I find one that does. Anywho, if you're really looking for a buddy, feel free to add me!0
