Liquid Whey or Powdered Whey?

Hey Everyone,
I've made a hobby recently out of yogurt making and though the process is kind of long and tedious I'm really enjoying it. One thing I've found is that from every batch I make, I generally have about a quart of pure liquid whey leftover. Because it was fermented and cultured with the yogurt process, it's full of probiotics, and should be full of protein as well. Also, all of the fat has been strained out into the yogurt.
What are your thoughts regarding using liquid whey in smoothies or protein shakes rather than powder?
Liquid whey made from organic milk is pretty straightforward. No preservatives, flavors, sweeteners, or other crap. Also, my favorite thing about liquid whey is that it blends perfectly and smoothly into my shakes and smoothies without making it thick or gritty, or caking up on the sides or bottom of the glass.
This is a pretty standard ingredient list for powdered whey:
Whey Protein Concentrate (Whey Protein Concentrate, Soy Lecithin), Corn Maltodextrin, Cocoa Powder (Processed with Alkali), Natural & Artificial Flavor, Salt, Whey Protein Isolate, Carrageenan, Xanthan Gum, Acesulfame Potassium, and Sucralose.
So I guess my question is- if you were to choose between the two (if liquid were available in most stores, same as powder), which would you choose and why?

Powder will always be cheaper, and I'm not paranoid about preservatives and sweeteners etc, so I just really care about cost and taste, so I'd go with powder, but if you have leftover whey already in liquid form as a byproduct of making yogurt, why not use it?0

I've never actually seen liquid sold anywhere- do you have a basis in saying powder will always be cheaper, or are you guestimating based off of availability?0

The powder form will always be cheaper, it's cheaper to ship because it ways less and takes up less space, has a longer shelf life. I've seen whey drinks sold in liquid form, they're usually watered down and a waste of money. The reason you don't see many, if any whey drinks is because it just doesn't make sense to transport and sell them in liquid form so they make powder and sell it.0
