Folks

Bit of a random question, have started a new programme (LDN Muscle cutting guide) and it insists on tracking your macros. But, if anyone has experience from training and tracking macros. Do I track calories from the likes of drinking lucozade sport, tea/coffee?

    That's a difficult one. Depends on the Coffee for example. I typically drink 3 Americanos (black) a day at work, and don't log it. Because without milk or sugar, it's not far off being just water. And I drink enough water to stay hydrated in any case.

    Lucozade / Diet Coke etc. are tough because although they may have 0 cals according to the label, there are some studies which pertain to their being things added to them which cut the BMR or some such. Perhaps an expert can elaborate as to why these drinks aren't necessarily as good as the 0 cals suggest.

    But I guess the best thing to do is log EVERYTHING, that way you're always ahead of the game. Good luck.
