Okay so I was doing really well on MFP for a while and this past week has just been awful! I'm not motivated, I haven't wanted to log anything because I haven't been eating well, and I have gained weight. This scares me because if i'm still like this around the holidays I will gain SOOOOO much! Does anyone have any ideas on how to get re-motivated and back on track?? I'm desperate!

You need to dig deep! You need to re-root yourself. Find what you need to do. Like tell yourself I will exercise everyday or at least 5 times a week. I will drink my water everyday! I will log everyday! You can do this girl!
  • If I were you, I would still log everything you eat. This should do two things...1...you may think twice about eating something higher in calories if you know you have to write it down, and 2...you will see just how far off the path you have gone. Maybe you haven't gotten so far off the path that you can't see it...and then you can get right back on track.

You have a couple of weeks before the big holiday push...get back on track and you'll feel much better!!! Friend me if you'd like...we can keep each other accountable :)
  • Tomorrow is a new day. Make a plan right now about what you will eat, and how you will workout and then stick to it. You may not be excited about it, but once you start seeing results it should come back into focus.

The great thing about the Universe is it is all about renewal. Every day we can start again.

You have a choice between two paths. One will lead you to your weight loss goal and the other will make you gain weight and wreak havoc on your confidence. Make the right choice :) Being human I think we all have bad days and setbacks and we just have to remind ourselves to reboot. Remind yourself of why you want to lose weight to begin with and go from there.

I had a bad couple of days when I went shopping for bridesmaids dresses with my friend's bridal party last weekend. I'm not "fat" at 5'7" and 155 but I definitely have meat on my bones, some of which I can afford to lose, in addition to being busty. However, going to bridal salons and not being able to zip up a single sample size dress when all the other girls were very thin was kinda humiliating...especially when we tried on dresses all day. I was frustrated by my size and ate a lot of junk that weekend....totally counterproductive. Anyway I shook it off and just tried to get back on track....because when the wedding rolls around next summer I want to look hot, not relive the frustration of being the chubby bridesmaid!

    Good luck! :)
