Alright I get it! It's bleeding cold in the winter!! But summer bodies are made in winter just wondering what tools others use to keep the mojo up to train through the blues

I'll be hitting the gym hard with a 4x weekly hypertrophy split in the winter and bulking some muscle...it's the perfect time of year to do it. Less cardio, more lifting, and good winter comfort food for the bulk. Bonus, the gym is heated...plus it's dark outside and whatnot and not much is going on...why not lift?
When spring rolls around and the weather gets nicer I'll cut and switch my lifting routine back to 2 - 3 days per week and do more endurance/stamina work and get out on my bike and ride, ride, ride so that by summer I will have had a nice bulk and then cut cycle and can spend some time walking around with my shirt off.0 -
Shoot, winter is ski season -- the perfect antidote for the blues!
Other than that, there's swimming at the Y, climbing on indoor rock walls, weightlifting, indoor cardio, and 12 oz beer curls.0 -
I ski just about every weekend during the winter, also still run, climb, and hike. I love winter.0

Winter is my favorite time of the year and the time I am in the best shape. I start hitting the gym really hard in Aug/Sept just to get in shape for riding season. My suggestion is find a winter sport.0
