Another Fitness Newb

Hello, all you wonderful people of MFP. I look forward to getting in shape with all of you.
No elegant place to put this: I'm 22 years old and male.
I'm military, so I have some basic level of fitness, but I've never actually taken any action to take control of my health. So I decided to get rid of my icky stomach flab! Initialy goal is to lose 15 pounds (145 - 130) by November 1, then I'll see where it goes from there. Probably going to want to gain muscle at some point, but first I'm going to take care of the fat.
I spent all my time growing up thinking "I love food too much to go on a diet. It's not worth it. I can't think if I'm hungry." But I found that once I committed to eating less, it wasn't actually that bad. At least, not for the first two days.
Anyway, anyone wanna be fitness buddies? Keep each other on track, talk about working out, share progress pics, etc?
