Macros Question

I was wondering, if anyone just starting out, has manually adjusted their macros or if you just use the macros that MFP has given you for the stats that you put in. I read a blog about a girl who lose 100+ and said when she started she used this site and changed her macros to 150+ Protein; 150 or lower Carbs; and both fat and sugar at less than 50 a day. I feel like that's a lot of protein, but I've only always counted "points" never calories and macros so I was wondering what everyone else does.
Thanks! :flowerforyou:

Hi:
Welcome to MFP.
I hope this tool helps you. It has been very helpful to me.
At the beginning, I used MFP macros definition.
After losing my intended body weight (12 pounds in 7 months), I adjusted for more protein and less carbs since I was upping my weightlifting time.
Please be patient and adjust your expectations. You did not acquire the additional weight in days or weeks. It will take you as much time to lose it.
Try to measure and weigh what you are ingesting. It was very critical for me. I was eating more calories because I was "eyeballing" the portions.
Good luck in your healthy journey0 -
Great - Thanks so much! I think I am going to stick with the suggestions from MFP and then see what happens once I hit goal.0
