More Goals

Hi all,

I've never been all that skinny, but am working on losing weight. I know what My weight should be (first goal to 160, after I do that another 15-20 lbs to reach my 'ideal weight').

I'm curious as to what to expect for things like pant/jean/shirt sizes.

I'm just shy of 5'7" (5' 6 and 3/4 if we're being exact) I'm currently 185 with a jean size (american eagle) of 34, dress pants 36, shirt is typically a large, once in a great while i find a brand I fit in as a medium.

I also know what my waist size should be, but since pants are at the hips, I'm not sure what to expect for a pants size? Will it go down by much? Or should I expect there to a a large reduction in pant size if I were to get down to 140?

I'm also a large frame, I'm guessing that might make a difference.

Just seeing what I can look forward to since I'm the lightest I've been at this height and am not sure what I would have ever worn if I weighed less.

Thanks for any replies!

My guess is that you could go down one or two more jean sizes (32, 30.). Are you worried about something?

No, just curious what my clothes size would be. Seeing the clothing I might fit into one day could work as motivation to see how I'd look after losing 45 lbs.

I'm a little over 5'7 thanks to getting the bum deal on the maternity side of my genetics. I'd just worry about waist size since you probably know that pants aren't much fun to shop for as they're usually too long at your waist size or baggy.

I just switch between different cuts, like classic/slim etc. if you feel like your fat is concentrated around your thighs. Most men just have it in their belly and muscle is in the thighs so there's normally not a disparity.

Thanks for your reply! My weight is mostly in my waist and neck, but definitely have some in the hips. Hopefully I can keep on target this year to lose weight with this site where I've failed on my own in the past.
