Not feeling any success, and I am glad about that.

I know some people hate the lifestyle change term, but it seems like that is what I did. My story actually starts out by playing with a new ap for my new phone. I had been complaining about my weight for a long time, but that was about all I ever did over time. After a month or so logging meals I noticed I made changes in the way I was eating by really avoiding fast food and empty calories. I've lost 20 pounds, but not feeling like there is any success there. I am glad for that. This isn't goal driven or with a firm target in mind, just a gradual change that seems sustainable. I've done a little research and on my 6'1" frame, 180 seems like a nice target weight which will also be maintainable, so if there is a goal, that is probably it.

I am sometimes worried that non goal related behavior rarely last, but so far these changes seem to be working. Maybe I will set a goal or two and see if that changes my behavior. Perhaps under 200 for New Years (five pounds).

You made healthy changes. Without half trying. That is success! It's going to benefit you in ways you won't see, because you won't have your unhealthy self right there beside you to compare with. So keep those old pictures, and remember how eating badly made you feel. Keep it up!
  • I think you are doing what is exactly right for YOU! bravo on making changes ;)

    Good job.
It's amazing what a little food tweaking can do.

  • I really relate to what you are saying. For me it also is a change of bad habits that can gradually lead to a healthy life. Congratulations!!
